I amplify not only for my community but for the world. Since freshman year I have worked towards helping people have a voice over the choices they make. One of the most important projects my friend and I worked on was called “u.s.humans”. It's about helping children who are forced to join the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda to serve as soldiers.

I amplify through a conscious effort to contribute to my community. Whether it be, voicing the concerns of youths in Franklin County, through the Youth Council or assisting children whose first language is not English, as an ESL teacher's assistant. Whatever I do, I make sure that I am contributing to society as a global citizen.

I want to become an Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OB/GYN) because I want to help vulnerable women and children in undeveloped countries. Through my efforts, I hope to empower women to pursue better lives, while contributing socially, economically and financially to their communities.
